Site Visit Fee
$150 for the first 30 minutes on site (covers my prep and travel to/from your Lamorinda address)
Hourly Rate
$120/hr for each hour after the first 30 minutes
My rate includes the cost of tools (if I don’t need to rent something very specific to your project), but NOT additional supplies that might be needed to complete your job. Supplies can be purchased by customers in advance of the work, or I can purchase them and pass the cost along to you without markup, but my hourly rate will apply to the hardware store visit.
If you’d like to show me your project(s) on a complimentary Zoom or FaceTime call, I’ll give you my thoughts on the work and a sense of how long I think it will take. If it’s more than I can take on, I’ll give you a referral to a dedicated tradesperson (if I know one) or provide general guidance on how to get the work completed.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that there are often unforeseen variables that pop up during certain types of projects. My objective is to be fair and upfront about how I operate. I’m a “get to work and make clients happy” type of guy, but I’m also dedicating my time to others (instead of working on my own list) when I take on these jobs. So at the end of the day, it’s the time I spend doing the job that determines the final cost.
